Capstone Project

The UTDiscovery Capstone Project experience is the culmination of UT Dallas Data Science students’ cross-curricular, project-based learning, and career development. Capstone projects pro vide the students a gateway to apply and advance their content knowledge, technical expertise, and research skills learned during their BS in Data Science coursework. Students gain exposure to applicable solutions within authentic business and industry settings.

Project teams consist of four to six students, and a faculty advisor. Teams select their capstone project at the beginning of the semester and work on the project over its course.  Project sponsors, UT Dallas faculty, and external partners receive the benefit of having a new perspective applied to their projects.
